Our Apologies Mailing Server Hacked

Yesterday, morning a rather malicious event happened our mailing list was compromised.  Rampant unauthorized mailings were sent out to our list though-out the course of the day resulting in a flood of unsubscribes that were in turn being broad-casted to the news group.

In the afternoon our server crashed under the extreme load. We immediately closed down the list and sent messages out to the list.

Sometime yesterday morning our server was compromised a malicious attack resulting in unauthorized random mailings. Our server crashed under the load it has now been fixed however, I have decided to take down the news group. It is unfortunate that this sort of thing occurs when one is trying to benefit the community. I am truly sorry for any problems this may have caused you.

If I have missed emailing you personally about this occurrence please accept this public apology.
