We are now half way through 2009 for the small business owner it is perhaps time to take stock of your situation. As a small business owner I have recently upgraded our web presence, a new and refined business marketing plan that included strategies and implementation timetable.
I am not for the sake of brevity going to get into the fine details of BizMeds marketing plan. I will just say we have ratcheted up the social network component something, that was completely lacking due to both myself and partner Dennis Smith taking on a long term commitment to our clients. We had to stand back from our core business something which I regret. In hindsight maybe it all was good thing I did enjoy my years hiatus over at ThinkPanama; I really learned form CEO Douglas Choy who is a marketing maverick
I am in the perfect time and place working in an industry that is both robust and is experiencing sky-rocketing growth more so in this world economic downturn. If you are not investing in SEO stop what you are doing and reevaluate. It is time to shift some marketing dollars for SEO!

I am going to provide you with some charts to show you that SEO should not be ignored As a small business owner in times of economic distress you owe to your company to take the time to make sure your company is standing on solid ground.


In 2009, marketers’ perceptions are in similar (but lower) proportions across the board. With the global economy faltering, and money in short supply, search marketing is often the tool that marketers rely on to attract new customers.
In addition, SEO offers pluses over paid search—though its advantages must be built up over time, which some marketers have little of in today’s economy.
Forty-eight percent of marketers said that search engine optimization (SEO) was the best method for generating conversions online. More than one-half of marketers with budgets over $1 million agreed.
