But like any other business tool, you have to know what your goals are – and you need to learn the system to create targeted results. Do you want 1,000 tire kickers or 3 people who want what you have and can and will pay for it?

Here are some tips regarding your marketing adventure in Social Space…

Join networks that can help you achieve your goal

Have you defined your niche market and found networks that have like-minded users?

Learn how your chosen networks work
Do you use a direct pitch – or comment and embed a link to your site/blog?

Choose your contacts and groups well – and don’t shotgun
If you sell widgets, do you need to network with someone who is in real estate development?

Stay on point
If your message is all over the place, what type of responses do you expect to get?

Avoid time drain
